I'm kind of over steampunk
I’m still interested in appending some baubles to my leather jacket or wearing a weird hat. But I have had enough of steampunk. It seems like most of this stuff they wear is just niche fashion. There’s no way they made it themselves. And it all costs gobs of money. I would spend a few bucks at a thrift store or a hardware store or a hobby shop to get some cool things to piece together....

If you’ve never heard of Hal Hartley, I highly recommend his films, of which Trust and Amateur are my favorites. He is one of the best independent film makers around. Right up there with Jim Jarmusch in my book. Fascinating stories and brilliant writing.

Wicked
I sometimes say ‘wicked.’ I spent the last few of my teen years in Massachusetts, where I must have picked it up. I think it’s a pretty cool word if not over used. Like I was thinking about mentioning how it’s difficult to get back into music recording since I’m wicked out of practice on the bass and guitar.
